THE MILLWOOD HOUSE

Calibration of electromagnetic surges and an assortment of anomalies led me to an empty lot on North Sheridan. Historical research quickly revealed the fact that a house once stood here.
The Millwood House originally belonged to Frank and Mabel Millwood, who ran the telegraph office and owned a local grocery store.
In their older years, they reported “unusual occurrences” in their house—including strange noises and flashes of light, as well as disturbing figures who moved “in a manner that was not at all human.”
Locals assumed the older couple suffered from dementia brought on by old age. But when both Mr. and Mrs. Millwood disappeared, authorities began to reconsider their dismissal of the Millwood’s claims.
When the house itself disappeared, no skepticism remained. On April 19, 1913, the house “faded,” as post master Gerald Walters testified.
Since then, it has appeared briefly and temporarily.
Evidence suggests this house was built on an interdimensional overlap—one of the few located throughout our world.
This was confirmed when I discovered a quim etched into a slab of rock on the banks of the small pond behind the property.
Whoever is behind these symbols, marked the land on which the Millwood House is built.
Strangely enough, reports have indicated that each time the house reappears (for a brief time), the structure is larger and more complex than before. It seems that it is in a sense building onto itself, adding rooms, or collecting them—so to speak. Whatever force is behind this, it seems to gather fragments of our reality, absorbing them into its own.
This might indeed also be relevant to the undeniable fact that so many people go missing each year.
It is my intention to gather a group of students and attempt to pinpoint the exact time when the house will reappear. Then it will merely be a means of going inside.
I do admit though I have some fear of what might transpire if the house vanishes while we are still inside.
